Sweet Potato, Carrot and Apple Soup

2 large sweet potatoes cut in chunks
3 large carrots peeled and cut in chunks
1 granny smith apple peeled and cut in chunks
1 onion peeled and cut in chunks
½ cup red lentils
½ tsp fresh ginger
½ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp chili powder
½ tsp paprika
4 cups vegetable broth

Combine ingredients and cook until vegetables are tender. Blend until pureed. Serve hot.
