This has been a family favorite since my days teaching at Beth Shalom Day School in Hollywood, FL.

3lbs Macintosh apples --- peeled and coarsely grated
1/2 lb dark raisins
1/2 lb light raisins
1/2 lb pitted dates---diced
6 oz chopped walnuts
1/2 to 1 tsp cinnamon
Concord Grape Wine or Extra Heavy Malaga Wine

Combine all ingredients-honey and wine to taste and consistency. Prepare a week before seder to allow fruits to absorb wine and honey.
