                                     Voices From the Ezras Nashim

Last Friday morning I made my usual phone call to Yedhudis Halberstam to obtain the names of the couple for whom the challah baking segula was to be performed. For only the second time in the years that I have phoned the name was not that of a couple, but instead of someone in need of a refuah shelaimah. It was a moment for me to be struck again by the fragility of life. Later on Friday my husband called to tell me that a dear friend was also in need of a refuah and on Wednesday there was yet more word of friends who need the skill of the master physician. May it be the Abishter’s will that all who are ill are cured.
